Origin of ByeByeToe®

Girls, we all know it: We buy the prettiest high-waisted pants, the coolest jumpsuit, the latest sports leggings hit, or just a pair of tight pants, and then, looking in the mirror, you see the so-called "cameltoe" (when the pants pull into the crotch in the front) and you feel completely naked. I've been noticing this problem for quite some time, and I thought, it can't be that there's no clever solution for this – the issue is obvious, and I don't know any woman who feels comfortable with it. Most women then wear long shirts over them, don't buy the product at all, or simply feel uncomfortable.

Functional Wear at its (very!) best

So, I thought, wouldn't it be great to have panties that, like those of male ballet dancers or football players (they also wear specially padded underwear – sorry girls ) or padded bras (even though we love Jennifer Aniston for exclusively going out without these bras), have reinforcement in the crotch area, so you don't have to worry about the appearance of your crotch in any situation, and which simultaneously prevent your pants from painfully pulling into your crotch!?! And since we're making wishes : a thong that's finally wide enough in the front so that no skin… okay, no rolls of fat peek out from the sides. One that's finally cut high enough (and doesn't stop in the middle of your stomach), so you don't see an imprint on your pants when you're "on the go," and which constantly rolls down because of your tummy (AAAAHHHH!!!!). One that has enough fabric in the back so you don't look like a Brazilian samba dancer, but little enough fabric so that no "double butt" is visible through your pants – and has a Brazilian cut to shape a fantastic rear. One that doesn't have an uncomfortable string in the back that chafes you. One that is completely seamless – and, IMPORTANT: without hanging loosely on your body, stretching out, and pulling into everything, so that by lunchtime at the latest, you decide it's better without anything at all. Or one that fits so tightly you can't breathe during sports and everything squeezes out at the ends (which unfortunately have to be somewhere) – meaning it fits snugly but doesn't cut in at the edges. One that is, above all, super comfortable. And last but not least, one that is universally usable both aesthetically and in terms of material – so sexy for a date with my crush and breathable for my workout!?!?!

So, I had a mission.

Why only Born and not Made in Germany?

In my search for a manufacturer who could help me implement my one...two... above-mentioned concerns, I would, of course, have preferred one right around the corner, where I could ideally just pop by on my bike and chat about the production! Unfortunately, that's not happening, for the simple reason that no one in the German-speaking area produces anymore - all manufacturers produce in Asia!?! (Editor's note: If it's not functional underwear with special requirements, there are still a very few). But I was very lucky that through my friend Ralph, I got in touch with Olivier (to both of you ), who recommended a company in Sri Lanka specializing in laser-cut/bonding for my needs - which works for all major international players. And at this point, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Nalini, Chaminda, Saman, Anusha, Bala, and the entire production team for agreeing to work with a startup in the first place, for always believing in me and my product. For helping me develop THE perfect brief and for never losing patience during almost 2 years of development, even with the hundredth change, and always achieving the best results.
You are "ella kiri" - the very best!

If you want to know more about why I am grateful to be able to produce in Sri Lanka - more information on Instagram.

And more thanks

To everyone who supports me, constantly tests the products, and most importantly, always provides advice and assistance - I love and thank you

…but the Oscar goes to:

To my customers, all of whom I would love to mention by name here. Thank you for trusting ByeByeToe®!!! I sincerely wish that you have at least as much super comfortable fun wearing it as I do. None of this would be possible without you!

Tips for avoiding cameltoe's

When buying your leggings and sports pants, primarily make sure that the seam does not run in the middle, but rather opt for pants that are seamless in the crotch. Furthermore, wearing comfort varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, depending on the cut and fabric thickness. Try on the pants and simply add manufacturers whose fabric easily pulls into the crotch or shows everything to your personal buying avoidance list.

When buying jumpsuits, it's better to choose a size larger, even if it's prettier smaller and tighter on top - it's simply not worth all the trouble of constantly tugging at your pants.

When buying high-waisted pants, check how the fabric behaves and whether the crotch is cut long enough - because the pants automatically slide into the waist, it can easily pull into the crotch.

And last but not least: Please do not wear extra long shirts/tunics over them to conceal the cameltoe; this distorts the entire body (regardless of your figure), and then even the thinnest legs won't save the look.
